Why I started Sounding Line

Cooper Taylor, CFA®, Founder of Sounding Line Wealth Management

Cooper Taylor, CFA® · Founder

I started Sounding Line to build the advisory firm I would want my own family to hire: one that understands the full picture, gives direct advice, and stays involved when decisions move from a plan into real life.

Advice should be clear enough to question and practical enough to act on. You should understand the trade-offs, know who will carry out each step, and feel comfortable asking why.

I remain accountable for each client relationship, supported by clear responsibilities and the outside professionals each situation requires. As Sounding Line grows, I will add people and capabilities carefully, preserving the continuity and personal responsibility that led me to start the firm.

Experience behind the firm

Private wealth perspective. Institutional investing discipline.

Before founding Sounding Line, Cooper Taylor advised high-net-worth families at Salem Investment Counselors and evaluated private-equity and venture-capital investments for the University of Michigan’s endowment. His earlier NFL career with the New York Giants shaped the preparation, discipline, and accountability he brings to the firm.
